TINY AUDIO KIT / ABOUT

Small tools for sound experiments

Tiny Audio Kit is a small browser audio project operated by Jianming Duan. The first tool handles one task: reversing a short, user-selected audio clip so that it plays from its end to its beginning.

How the first tool works

The browser decodes the source into audio samples. The tool reverses every channel independently, keeping left and right channels aligned, then writes a 16-bit PCM WAV. It does not add effects, change playback speed or generate new music.

Why a short-clip limit?

Compressed file size is not the same as working memory. A small compressed file can expand into a large sample buffer. The tool limits file size, duration, channel count and decoded sample memory. Browser decoding still needs memory before the decoded limits can be checked, so use short clips and close other heavy tabs on a phone.

What is available

Only the audio reverser is available in this build. Speed adjustment, pitch adjustment and trimming are not offered. There is no account, subscription or paid processing API.

Checking the result

Tests cover mono and stereo sample reversal and the WAV layout. Browser checks use generated recordings rather than private audio. Those checks do not guarantee every browser, codec or device will work; listen to the saved file before using it in a project.
